News
New Ministry Worksheets Available Bishop Amos is asking all active deacons to complete a Diaconate Ministry Worksheet in consultation with their pastor and to return to the Diaconate Office no later than March 1st. This will become the basis for a three year letter of appointment by the Bishop for each deacon assigned to parish ministry. The worksheet replaces the Ministry Agreements forms we have used in the past. The worksheet is intended to clarify mutual expectations between the deacon and pastor, to aid in the collaborative ministry of the deacon in the parish and community, and to keep our bishop informed as to diaconal ministry in the diocese. Please contact Deacon Bob McCoy if you have any questions (563-324-1911).
Worksheet instructions and the worksheet are being surface mailed to active deacons currently assigned to parish ministry. In addition, the documents may be downloaded from here:
This is an electronic form. Begin by opening the document and saving it to your computer. Complete it by typing in the gray boxes. The boxes expand as you type; use the tab key to move between boxes. Save it when you are done, and then print it out. If you have any questions, please contact Laurie Hoefling, 563-324-1912 ext 267. Even if you use the electronic form, it must be printed out, signed, and returned by mail.
