News
SCAP Study Day A Deacon Study Day on Sunday Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest is being planned for June 21, 2008. Details will be posted here as they become available. Summer Workshop Series Offered by The Institute for the Diaconate at the Josephinum Continuing formation, as a process, has received renewed emphasis in recent years. The Josephinum is committed to providing opportunities for experienced deacons to consider, to learn, and to reflect on their roles in the life of the Church. To this end, two three-day workshops designed especially for permanent deacons will be offered in summer 2008. Join us for these opportunities to enhance, advance, and reanimate your pre-ordination formation, already received and lived out, in all of its dimensions. Click here for a more information. Annual Retreat The annual deacon retreat is scheduled for October 17-19, 2008, at the Lodge in Bettendorf. The retreat master will be Father Marty Goetz, director of vocations for our diocese. Registration information will be posted here once it becomes available.
