Fare Trade is primarily a parish-based program that educates Catholics in the United States about the benefits of fair trade. It promotes international economic justice through the decisions on how we shop. The CRS Fair Trade program creates an opportunities for us to make trade fair for the poor overseas, through the choices we make about what we eat, drink or buy. The decisions we make as a consumer can make a positive difference in the world. CRS Fair Trade guarantees fair wages to disadvantaged artisans, farmers and workers. It also provides the technical and financial assistance that poor people. You can help by purchasing Fair Traded coffee, Chocolate from CRS Fair Trade Partners in small to large quantities. Often you can purchase small quantities of Fair Trade coffee locally at specialty coffee shops or the Fair Trade/health food section of major food stores. Would you like to indulge your sweet tooth and your coffee needs while supporting economic justice? You can by purchasing Fair Trade chocolate and coffee for gifts or for use in the parish or school and know that you are supporting Fair Trade farmers in many countries.
