Just Faith Ministries strives to provide faith formation processes and resources that emphasize the Gospel message of peace and justice, Catholic social teaching and the intersection of spirituality and action. 

The aim of Just Faith Ministries is to empower participants  of faith to develop a passion for justice and to express this passion in concrete acts of parish social ministry.

 

Just Faith Materials:

 

The Social Action Department of the Diocese of Davenport has the following Just Faith DVD'S and now available:

1. "Portrait of a Radical: the Jesus Movement"-three theologians explore the truly radical, dynamic, and passionate message of Jesus.

2. "My Own Four Walls" -this is a documentary that takes an intimate look at the issue faced by the homeless children and puts a human face on the problem of homelessness.

3. "Come Walk in my Shoes"- this award-winning documentary provides a fresh, first person perspective on the non-violent protest that challenged segregation laws in the South and led to the passage of the voting Rights Act in 1965.

4. "Renewal"- Gives us for the first time stories of the emerging movement of religious environmentalism across the United States.

5. RISING TO COMMON GROUND: Overcoming America's Color Lines book by Danny Duncan Collum, traces the 400-year history of racism and the efforts of religious congregations to find the common ground where we can address an eliminate this sin.

6. HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH? Book by Arthur Simon, recipient of the Pacem in Terris Award, and founder of Bread for the World, showing us how to adopt simpler life styles that reflect our concern for others and our world.
