Liturgy Training Publications invites you to a new virtual formation opportunity, Living the Sunday Word: Reflecting as a Virtual Community.
As a community of disciples, we gather online to break open the richness of the Sunday lectionary readings. The introduction to the Lectionary for Mass (47) states that “God’s word is the food of Christian life and the source of the prayer of the whole Church” and the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (24) reminds us that “it is essential to promote [a] warm and living love for scripture.”
Sessions are held on Thursday evenings from 6PM-7:30PM and run through May 20th. Utilizing the interactive Adobe Connect platform, we will take time to reflect on the upcoming Sunday readings, helping us to more fully celebrate the Word at liturgy. Throughout each session, reflections will be presented by a team of pastoral ministers, and participants will be invited to share their own thoughts on the lectionary readings.
The lectionary readings unite believers around the world. Whether we are able to celebrate Eucharist with our parish families or not, we take comfort in the fact that we can still gather with fellow believers, be nourished by the Word, and be in the presence of one another virtually.
This virtual community is for all parishioners!

This Lent, offer yourself the opportunity to meditate on the Stations of the Cross in a different way. You are invited to virtually gather and reflect on Jesus’ Way of the Cross by using the same prayers he used in his life: the Book of Psalms. Participants will draw from their own spiritual journeys to actively consider the role of the Cross and the implications it has for living out a life of discipleship in our complex, modern world. This virtual retreat is perfect for the busy individual who would still like to treat themselves to some spiritual nourishment.
