These nine days of prayer prepare us for World Day Against the Death Penalty (October 10).

In October, the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is designated as Respect Life Sunday. The Theme for this year is “I came so that they might have life.”

The DLC meets on the third Thursday of the month via Zoom.

As the National Eucharistic Revival enters its missionary year, every Catholic in the United States is called to discern how the Lord calls them to embody the mission of Jesus today. The US Catholic Mission Association (USCMA) conference is an opportunity to gather as faith leaders to cultivate the fruits of the Eucharistic Congress, pray, worship and reflect together as missionary disciples, and learn from experts in missionary commitment. It is also a time to deepen our own encounter with Christ through the Eucharist and our ability to articulate the missionary nature of this relationship.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) Collection: supports more than 37 million people in the United States who live in poverty. CCHD supports those living in poverty by funding programs that empower local communities to address the challenges they face. 25% of the funds we collect remain in our diocese to fund local anti-poverty projects.
