“My flesh for the life of the world”

“Mi carne para la vida del mundo”
The US Bishops have asked us to join with them in this effort "To renew the Church by enkindling a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist."
Foundation: The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy of Vatican II (en español)
10. Nevertheless the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the font from which all her power flows. For the aim and object of apostolic works is that all who are made [children] of God by faith and baptism should come together to praise God in the midst of His Church, to take part in the sacrifice, and to eat the Lord's supper.
The liturgy in its turn moves the faithful, filled with "the paschal sacraments," to be "one in holiness"; it prays that "they may hold fast in their lives to what they have grasped by their faith"; the renewal in the Eucharist of the covenant between the Lord and man draws the faithful into the compelling love of Christ and sets them on fire. From the liturgy, therefore, and especially from the Eucharist, as from a font, grace is poured forth upon us; and the sanctification of men in Christ and the glorification of God, to which all other activities of the Church are directed as toward their end, is achieved in the most efficacious possible way.

Sacramentum caritatis (en español)
In 2007, Pope Benedict wrote his post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation on the Eucharist as the "source and summit of the Church's life and mission." The title, Sacramentum caritatis, means: "The Sacrament of Charity (Love)" - because through the Eucharist Christ gives himself to us as gift, revealing God's love for every person (SC #1). In it, he reflected on the Eucharist as a mystery to be believed, celebrated, and lived.
Mystery
When we say that the Eucharist is a "mystery" we're not saying that it's a puzzle that needs solving, or something like a "whodunit" on TV. Nor does it mean that it's something we can't understand so we should just not bother. No, a "mystery" in the way we're using it here means "something that has such depth and richness of meaning that, while ir can be experienced, it can never be fully comprehended or explained" [Smolarski, A Glossary of Liturgical Terms (LTP, 2017), 98].
Lex orandi, Lex credendi, Lex vivendi
This is a shorthand way of saying that the way we pray and worship (lex orandi) expresses our faith (lex credendi); and what we pray and believe ought to be reflected in how we live (lex vivendi). In other words, what we believe, celebrate, and live are all interconnected. Part of Christian spirituality is seeking to integrate these three parts of who we are more and more, rather than living fragmented lives.
