Our office is located in the St. Vincent Center that sits on more than 5 acres of land in the heart of Davenport, Iowa, one of the adjacent cities that comprise the Quad Cities (population 400,000) along the Mississippi River.
Davenport, is the second largest city in Iowa, is just 183/294 km from Chicago. The area offers a variety of cultural and entertainment activities, as well as excellent recreation and shopping facilities.
The Quad City International Airport is located in Moline, Illinois, and is about a 20-minute drive from our facility. We are also accessible from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (a three hour drive). A bus or limousine can be taken from O'Hara to the Quad Cities.
We have schools in several different cities in our Diocese which represents 74 cities in the lower eastern area of Iowa along the Mississippi River. Please see the map of our Diocese which shows you the locations of our schools, counties, and cities which we call the Diocese of Davenport.
The Superintendent of Schools assists the Bishop in all matters that pertain to his educational/formational ministry in Catholic Schools. The superintendent consults with the Bishop on matters affecting the Catholic identity, policies and regulations, and personnel of the schools. In addition, the superintendent is responsible to the Iowa Department of Education for the enforcement of the accreditation standards of all the schools, serves and confers with the diocesan attorney on legal matters. The Superintendent provides service to the school administrators, pastors with schools, and local boards of education.
Administrative Assistant - provides support for the Catholic Schools Office. The Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of clerical and office activities and works closely with the schools to collect and distribute information.
International Student Advisor (PDSO) - is responsible for processing legal paperwork for all F-1 visa students wanting to attend Catholic school in the Diocese of Davenport. This consists of issuing I-20 paperwork and working with the school, SEVIS and student to make sure all paperwork and proper procedures are followed to stay in compliance with Immigration requirements.
Safe Environment Coordinator - Oversees the Safe Enviornment Program in the parishes and schools. This includes maintaing the database VIRTUS to ensure policies and procedures are maintained by all staff and volunteers in the Diocese of Davenport. Handles all questions relating to the Safe Environment program and requirements.
